The BACA committee is now seeking feedback from community members about their concerns for future aged care services. The committee is conscious of the significant percentage of older people living on the Bellarine Peninsula.
We know palliative care, transport, isolation, limitations and cost with the aged care packages are of concern. We would appreciate receiving feedback from you which would assist the committee to more effectively identify emerging needs for the ageing population on the Bellarine.
What do you think are the three most significant issues facing older people?
What services would enable older people to be independent and remain in their homes
for as long as possible?
Are discharge, assistance and follow up procedures from hospitals adequate for older people, particularly for those living on their own?
Have you has any good/bad experiences you would like to share?
